Diablo 4 PTR Druid Shred Build Guide: Unleashing Feral Ferocity

Hey everyone! In today’s guide, I’ll be covering the Druid Shred build that’s currently being tested on the Diablo 4 PTR. This build focuses on maximizing Shred damage while utilizing the latest gear and unique amulet that boosts Lupine Ferocity. We won’t be diving into Spirit Born for now, as it’s still a bit unclear how that fits into the meta. But no worries! I’ve got all the important details about the Shred build, from the skill tree to gear, to make sure you're ready to dominate.

If you’re looking to further enhance your Diablo 4 experience, MMOexp is a great resource to help you get ahead. Whether you're looking to farm Diablo 4 Gold efficiently or unlock powerful gear faster, MMOexp provides a safe and reliable way to buy in-game currency and items. Now, let’s break it all down step by step!

Diablo 4 PTR Druid Shred Build Guide

Skill Tree Overview

Starting with the Druid's skill tree, here’s how we’re setting things up for the Shred build:

Core Skills:

1. Two Points in "Heart of the Wild" - Gives us additional bonuses to shape-shifting and overall survivability.

2. Five Points in "Shred" - This is the main ability we’ll be focusing on, and we’re investing heavily here. We're taking Primal Shred for maximum damage.

3. "Raging Shred" – There's a planned change to how this works, but we’re playing it safe for now and sticking with Primal Shred.

4. Predatory Instinct – This gives us increased movement speed, which is crucial for positioning and survival.

5. "Nature’s Reach" – This skill is mostly left as a leftover, but it’ll help you cover some extra range, though we’re primarily melee-focused.

Defensive Skills:

· "Blood Howl" and "Preserving Blood Howl" – These skills help with healing, debuffing enemies, and maintaining your overall survivability.

· "Debilitating Roar" – Use this to reduce enemy damage, especially in high-pressure situations.

· "Petrify" & "Supreme Petrify" – We use these to control enemies, locking them in place when needed for better positioning.

Key Mechanic: Lupine Ferocity

The new amulet that enhances Lupine Ferocity is central to this build. This ability increases your Critical Strike damage for each consecutive werewolf form critical hit. You can stack this effect, and the goal is to stay in werewolf form, hitting enemies with a rapid series of critical strikes to build up your damage.

Toxic Damage:

· Neurotoxin and Toxic Claws – These skills help you poison enemies, which synergizes with your damage buffs and the Lupine Ferocity passive. We don't care about the exact poison damage; we only need to ensure that the poison status is applied.

Skill Changes in PTR

Some of the key changes to the Druid class in the current PTR include:

1. Purple Skin – Now increases damage dealt by 5% for 5 seconds after being attacked. We're testing this over the 15% damage reduction from elites, but we’ll adjust if survivability becomes an issue.

2. Shred Dash – This has been reworked significantly. The first dash of Shred will now hit up to four times based on the distance traveled. This is a huge increase in your overall damage output, especially with 75% more damage on the first dash.

3. Siy Talons – This now grants a 15% Critical Strike chance and Lucky Hit chance, which synergizes perfectly with the Shred build since we're stacking Critical Strike to maximize damage.

Gear and Aspects

The key to this build is gear and the right Aspects. Here's what we’re focusing on:

Amulet:

· Lupine Ferocity – This is the star of the show, increasing Critical Strike damage as long as you're chaining critical hits in werewolf form.

· Movement Speed – We want high movement speed so that the Feral Aptitude passive can increase Critical Strike damage. When your movement speed exceeds 100%, you gain stacking bonuses, making your werewolf form even more devastating.

Weapons and Gear:

· Aspect of the Blurred Beast – This aspect is huge for Shred. It increases Shred's damage by 75%, and the first dash strike will trigger up to four additional strikes, which makes Shred more effective at clearing mobs.

· Aspect of the Agile Wolf – This gives you a dash attack with knockback, hitting all nearby enemies and adding more damage output.

· Concussive Strikes – Since we’re using werewolf form, we don’t need Wild Heart Hunger or Rampage. Instead, this aspect adds a stun effect to your attacks, giving you more crowd control in dungeons.

Critical Strike and Damage Scaling:

· Critical Strike Chance and Damage – We stack as much Critical Strike chance as possible on gear, especially on gloves and rings, to ensure our Lupine Ferocity procs frequently.

· Willpower and Max Life – These will give you enough survivability, as your build is very dependent on werewolf form and movement. If you need additional resistances or health, feel free to adjust.

Legendary Aspects:

· Aspect of Retaliation – We took this for extra damage with Critical Strike chance and attack speed.

· Ring of Starless Skies – A solid ring that provides simple but effective damage scaling.

Paragon Board

The Paragon Board is essential for refining your build. Here’s the strategy:

1. Werewolf Damage Scaling – Focus on nodes that boost werewolf form damage and critical strike chance.

2. Willpower – We’re stacking Willpower nodes to increase your overall survivability and damage scaling.

3. Hexes and Occult Gems – Ensure you use Hexes like Killing Wind to gain extra movement speed and Critical Strike chance when you have 3 or more Eldritch Powers active.

Gameplay Tips

1. Positioning is Key – Use movement speed to stay on top of enemies and ensure you're landing consecutive critical hits. Stay mobile to trigger Lupine Ferocity stacks.

2. Manage Poison – Keep your enemies poisoned to maximize the damage boost from Toxic Claws and Heightened Malice. Even a single poison can significantly increase your damage.

3. Use Defensive Skills Wisely – Blood Howl and Petrify are great for surviving tough situations. Use them when you're swarmed or need extra crowd control.

The Shred Druid build is a high-mobility, high-damage powerhouse that excels at clearing monsters and dealing massive burst damage to elite enemies. By using the new Dire Werewolf Amulet and stacking critical strike damage, you’ll be able to crush your enemies in no time. Be sure to maintain mobility, manage your poison stacks, and keep Dire Werewolf activated for optimal damage. Diablo IV Double Swing Build Guide: Unleashing Maximum Fury

Skill Tree Overview

Double Swing

The Double Swing build centers around maximizing damage and maintaining high uptime on berserking. Here's how to set up your skill tree:

1. Basic Skills:

Begin by allocating points to basic skills, which are necessary but not the core focus of this build. These will primarily be filler until you unlock more impactful abilities.

2. Core Skills: Double Swing

1. Double Swing (Maxed): This is your main damage dealer. Max this skill to ensure you're dealing optimal damage output.

2. Furious Double Swing: This variant is crucial as it provides unlimited berserking, significantly boosting both your damage and movement speed.

3. Defensive and Shout Skills:

1. Tempered Fury: Boosts your damage by scaling Max Fury through the Magnum Opus.

2. Imposing Presence & Martial Figure: For tankiness, these passives enhance your overall survivability.

3. Rallying Cry (Strategic): Provides resource regeneration, fortify, and Unstoppable, making it a versatile tool in your skillset.

4. Challenging Shout (Tactical): Offers damage reduction, max life boost, and Fury generation when hit.

5. War Cry (Power): Grants an initial berserking phase and further damage boosts, which synergize perfectly with Double Swing.

4. Berserking and Damage Passives:

1. Aggressive Resistance & Prolific Fury: As this build maintains nearly 100% uptime on berserking, these passives are a no-brainer for extra damage and resistance.

2. Pit Fighter & Slaying Strike: Slaying Strike is particularly useful for longer boss fights, as it ramps up your damage against enemies below 30% life.

· Utility Skills:

1. Steel Grasp: Essential for grouping enemies in tougher content, making it easier to burst them down with Double Swing. Consider switching to Iron Skin for a speed farming variant.

2. Wrath of the Berserker (Maxed into Unconstrained): This ultimate skill enhances berserking damage and is crucial for maintaining high DPS throughout your battles.

Gear and Equipment

Optimizing your gear is vital for maximizing the effectiveness of this build. Here's what you should aim for:

1. Helm: Hosen Crest

2. Prioritize Cooldown Reduction: This helps in maintaining high uptime on your shouts and berserking abilities.

3. Chest Armor: Tyrael’s Might

· Provides substantial damage reduction and resistance to elemental damage, making you a durable force in any encounter.

4. Weapons: Dual One-Handed Maces

1. Primary Stats: Strength, Life, Critical Strike, and Fury generation.

2. Key Affixes: Ensure you get Masterworks on double swing hit chance, aiming for as close to 75% as possible to hit those massive double-double swing strikes.

5. Boots: Standard Boots with Fury Per Second and Double Swing Size

· Enhancing your Fury regeneration and attack reach ensures that you're never out of resources, especially in prolonged fights.

6. Legendary Rings:

1. Ring of Starless Skies: Reduces Fury cost and boosts damage output for core skills.

2. Secondary Ring: Aim for Critical Strike damage, attack speed, and a lucky hit chance to make enemies vulnerable, which is crucial for the build’s damage flow.

7. Unique Items: Grandfather and Magnum Opus

1. Grandfather: Scales your crit damage substantially, turning every crit into a devastating hit.

2. Magnum Opus: Focus on maximizing the unique effect, which scales your resource and damage output, making it the cornerstone of this build.

Gameplay Tips

· Maintaining Berserking: Focus on keeping berserking active at all times through Furious Double Swing and shouts. This not only boosts your damage but also provides much-needed mobility in fights.

· Grouping Enemies: Use Steel Grasp effectively to pull enemies together, enabling you to burst them down with Double Swing.

· Boss Fights: In longer encounters, leverage Slaying Strike and Wallop to maximize your damage against lower-health targets.
